Somatics with Sara is grounded in the Feldenkrais Method™: a form of somatic education that works with the skeleton, brain and nervous system to help you overcome physical and emotional challenges and live with more ease, choice, pleasure and vitality.

For years I struggled to find anything that actually helped the chronic health challenges that come from accumulated stress and trauma. In 2018, a course on healing trauma and rewiring the nervous system changed the course of my life.
I experienced first-hand how nervous-system–based work — Somatic Experiencing® and the Feldenkrais Method™ — let me work with my own biology to keep anxiety, overwhelm and chronic stress from piling up. It gave me an inner resourcefulness and resilience I didn't know was possible. So I enrolled in a four-year Feldenkrais® practitioner training, which I completed in 2022.
Beyond movement, I hold a BA in Environmental & First Nations Studies, and I love ancestral nutrition, land stewardship, hiking, sunsets, and riding horses. Deep connection and meditative movement are my simple pleasures — and the ground everything else grows from.

Somatics with Sara (Sara Binns, Buckhorn, Ontario, Canada) respects your privacy and handles personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
When you use a contact or enquiry form, the details you choose to provide — name, email, phone (optional) and your message. When you visit the site, standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) may be recorded by the hosting provider for security and operation. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and libraries from a content-delivery network, which may receive your IP address as a technical necessity to deliver those files.
Your form details are used only to respond to your enquiry and arrange sessions — on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in replying to you. They are never sold or used for advertising.
Booking is handled on Sara's scheduling platform; messages may be sent by email and, where you choose, via WhatsApp/Meta. Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms.
Enquiry details are kept only as long as needed to correspond with you, then deleted on request. You may ask to access, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing somaticswithsara@gmail.com. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. This site is served over an encrypted (SSL/TLS) connection and sets no third-party advertising cookies.
Somatic movement and Feldenkrais® are forms of somatic education. They are not medical treatment, physiotherapy, psychotherapy or a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Sessions are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any condition.
If you have a medical or mental-health condition, an injury, or are pregnant, please consult your physician before beginning, and move only within what feels safe and comfortable for you. You remain responsible for your own wellbeing during a session and stop any movement that doesn't feel right.
This work is holistic, trauma-informed and empowerment-focused. There is never pressure to push, perform or share more than you wish. You set the pace.
Appointments are arranged through Sara's booking platform; rescheduling and cancellation are handled by direct, respectful agreement — just reach out as early as you can.
